Office 2007 Training
Many organisations are planning to upgrade to Microsoft® Office 2007 in the near future. Most of the Office applications have an entirely new look and feel, called the "Fluent User Interface". Menus, toolbars, and task panes have been almost entirely replaced by "The Ribbon" and the "Office Button", and commands are grouped together in new ways.
Users who are proficient in the use of previous versions of Office (such as 2003) may find it difficult to maintain their productivity until they have time to become familiar with the new locations of their most commonly-used commands.
4G has created a comprehensive catalogue of short, interactive eLearning lessons designed to give the user an opportunity to see an overview of each application; or if desired, practise some of the most common tasks, such as: mail-merge, inserting images, and changing the layout of documents.
4G can customise the eLearning lessons to incorporate your own organisation's branding guidelines, templates, and usage recommendations (such as reducing the number of colours used in a document to save printing costs).
4G is pleased to announce the launch of a new, enhanced version of our Office 2007 eLearning, which utilises 3D-animation technology to make the lessons even more interactive.
Meet one of our new Virtual Instructors, called "Kate".

Kate is an animated "avatar", who provides background information about the task at hand, and walks the student through each step in the lesson. A user can rewind the video and watch and listen again, if necessary, or the user can turn off the video and simply read the instructions beneath the video.
Kate will also ask the user questions at the end of each section, and the user can select from a multiple-choice list of answers to check their understanding and ensure knowledge retention.
This new technology allows the user to select an alternative learning style, as some users prefer to read at their own pace, and others prefer to listen to an instructor.
Initial feedback from customers has indicated that this is a very exciting and effective teaching method, and we expect to complete our revised catalogue of lessons in the coming months. Please see a sample list of lessons currently in development on the right side of this page.
A set of Microsoft® OneNote, Publisher, and Communicator lessons are also planned for late-2010.
