Virtual Learning Environments
4G is currently working on a number of Virtual Learning Environment projects, including one for it's parent company, HSG, which will provide training interventions in four main areas: Office Productivity, Graphic Design, Data Security & Information Management, and Health & Safety.
Staff will be able to view details and book places on learning events (classroom training, workshops, seminars, and webcasts/podcasts) and access an extensive catalogue of eLearning Lessons and User Guidance. Links to publications and industry-relevant news will also be available, and users will be able to communicate and collaborate using Support Forums, Wikis, Blogs, and Chatrooms. The VLE will enable staff and managers to:
- View Learning Pathways and track Professional Development progress
- Access eLearning and User Guidance
- View the Calendar and book places on live events
- Provide feedback on learning interventions
- Search Glossaries and FAQs
- Seek help in Support Forums and communicate via Blogs and Chatrooms
- Share information and collaborate using Wikis
- View MI Reports
With the use of Wikis, Forums, Blogs, and Chatrooms, Virtual Learning Environments provide a more interactive experience for users than most traditional Learning Management Systems. Contact us if you would like to discuss whether a VLE might be right for your organisation. Next: Office 2007 Training
