Software Simulators
Eliminating the need for a 'Sandbox' Environment
Traditional classroom training typically requires access to a networked Training Environment, often called a 'Sandbox' Environment, which provides a safe place for users to learn. Sandbox Environments can be very expensive and difficult to maintain, especially when project resources are stretched.
Most hands-on, classroom training uses a set of controlled exercises, rather than simply allowing random 'free play' on a new system. Software Simulators can provide a very low-cost alternative by recreating only the elements of a system that are needed for training.
If last-minute changes are made during a deployment, we can replicate the changes quickly and easily; often more quickly than a team of IT developers can update a training environment.
This solution offers a realistic, life-like simulation of a live environment; and students are often completely unaware that they are not using a fully-functioning system.
Our Software Simulators do not require network access, as they can be run from a local machine, a CD or a USB memory stick. This allows organisations to offer training in a wider variety of locations (such as rented classrooms or hotel meeting rooms), and enables a more flexible training schedule.
